Hi I am Chase , a playful and protective pup with a big heart! My story began when my family left me behind, dumping me near a highway. I didn’t know what to do or where to go, so I wandered until I found a kind lady who was feeding stray cats in the area. I was so hungry that I started eating from the cats' food, but I had to protect it because I was scared I wouldn’t find food again. Even though I was nervous and unsure, I loved playing with her little daughter whenever they came by. Those moments gave me a little hope and reminded me of the love I was missing. Eventually, the kind lady couldn’t bear to see me struggle anymore, so she rescued me and gave me a chance at a better life. Now, I’m staying in a boarding place where I’ve been enjoying playing with other dogs and discovering what it’s like to feel safe again. But as much as I’m grateful for my new friends, I dream of having a home of my own. I’m a very cute boy who loves people, but I still don’t like to share my food - I learned to protect it when I was on my own. With a little patience and understanding, I know I can thrive in a loving home. Could you be the one to give me the forever home I’ve been waiting for?
