They call me Assia. I was found on the
side of a highway with my three tiny
puppies. No food. No water. Just the
heat, the noise, and the fear. But I
stayed - for them.
I did everything I could to keep them
alive. Curled my body around them at
night, went without food so they could
nurse. Every day I worried: How will we
survive one more day?
Then, someone stopped. Kind eyes.
Gentle hands. They brought us to
safety, to the shelter. Warm blankets,
full bowls, soft voices. For the first
time, we were safe.
Now, my puppies are strong and ready
for their forever homes.
And me?
I’m still waiting. I gave them everything
I had, and now… I just want someone to
choose me. Not because I’m a mom or a
survivor - just because I’m Assia, and I
deserve love too.
