I was surrendered by my owner and brought to the sanctuary, and at first, I was very scared. I wouldn’t let anyone come close to me or touch me. Everything felt unfamiliar, and I didn’t know who to trust.
One day, my owner came to visit, and everything changed. I was so happy to see them—I couldn’t hide my excitement. For a moment, I felt safe again. But after that visit, I never saw my owner again.
Since then, I’ve been learning to trust new people. It hasn’t been easy, but little by little, I’m making progress. With patience, kindness, and love, I’m starting to open my heart again and believe that maybe, one day, I’ll find my forever home.
I have a strong personality and don’t trust easily, so I need time and understanding. I can be selective with people and other dogs, and I may be unpredictable around cats and children, so a calm, experienced home would suit me best.
I’m not very interested in playing, but once I feel safe, I truly enjoy gentle petting and cuddles. Please don’t approach me right away—let me come to you and show you when I’m ready. I also have some food guarding behavior, so I need someone who respects my space and boundaries.
I walk well on a leash and, with the right person, I can slowly become a loyal and loving companion.
