Luz🐾

I used to live near the Lusail stadium with my best friend, Marley. Back then, we were scared of people - not because we were bad, just because no one had ever been kind to us. We kept to the shadows, hoping to stay safe while the world around us got louder and emptier. Then everything changed. The area was being cleared before the World Cup. Marley and I were the last ones left. Then came her. The woman who didn’t shout, didn’t chase. She brought food and patience. Every day, she sat quietly, letting us come closer when we were ready. That’s when I learned what trust feels like. She rescued us together. I was scared in the car, but Marley kept me brave. Now, I live in a shelter, still with Marley. I still have my quirks: I’m not a fan of cats, and I get along better with big dogs than the little ones. But I love humans - especially the ones who let me curl up on the sofa. My favorite treats? Carrots! Crunchy, sweet, and mine. They call me a “sweet girl” now - and it finally feels true. I can’t wait for the day where I get to eat my favourite treats on a sofa in my very own forever home!

my journey:

It’s been a long and exhausting road from the day I was rescued to where I am today. I’ve faced moments of fear, sadness, and uncertainty, but also discovered love, care, and hope along the way. Words alone can’t capture the ups and downs of my story, or the gratitude I feel for those who gave me a second chance. That’s why I’d love for you to take a look at the photos below:
