They named me Nejma - it means “star” in
Arabic.
But for most of my life, I didn’t feel like
one.
I was kept in a cage, trained for racing and
hunting, expected to perform, never to
just be. No one cared if I was happy, tired,
or scared - only if I could run.
Days turned into years… and I waited
behind bars, wondering if there was more
to life.
Then, one day, everything changed.
Furkids came for me - not to judge
how fast I was, but to finally let me just be
a dog.
Now, I’m safe. I’m free. I’m healing. And I’m
starting to discover a world full of
softness and second chances.
I’m gentle, calm, and peaceful. I get along
beautifully with other dogs and kind
humans. All I need is a quiet home, a warm
bed, and someone who sees that I’ve
always been a star - just waiting for the
NEJMA right sky.
