Chicky🐾

I remember once, a long time ago, I had a person. I had a name, a soft bed, and hands that would scratch behind my ears. I didn’t know anything else, and I thought it would last forever. But one day, everything changed. The car ride ended in a place I didn’t recognize - an empty, noisy stretch of buildings and smoke. My person left me there. I waited for them to come back, but they never did. The nights were the hardest at first. Cold concrete. Growling stomach. The strange sounds of machines and the sting of loneliness. But I wasn’t alone for long. Other dogs found me - dogs who had the same look in their eyes that I carried. Lost. Left behind. We weren’t family by blood, but we became one by need. We learned how to survive together- Nitro, Felix, Bijou and I. Food and water were never easy to find. Some days we got lucky - a scrap from a bin, a puddle of water.. Other days, we went hungry. Still, we stayed side by side, keeping each other warm, keeping each other safe. In that rough place, friendship was all we had. But deep inside me, I never stopped hoping. Hoping for the sound of kind footsteps. Hoping for someone to see me not as a stray, but as a friend. Hoping for a forever home. Now, I’m ready. I know what it means to go without, and I know how to treasure love when it’s given. I may have been left once, but I still have love to give - more than ever. I am Chicky. I’ve walked the hard roads, I’ve waited in the cold, and I’ve survived the silence. Now, I’m ready to belong again. Could you be the one to bring me home?

my journey:

It’s been a long and exhausting road from the day I was rescued to where I am today. I’ve faced moments of fear, sadness, and uncertainty, but also discovered love, care, and hope along the way. Words alone can’t capture the ups and downs of my story, or the gratitude I feel for those who gave me a second chance. That’s why I’d love for you to take a look at the photos below:
