How the fostering works?
Application & Support
Once you have send your application and it’s been approved, we’ll arrange a meeting and then drop the dog off at your home along with everything they need. You’ll have our full support, 24/7, throughout the fostering journey!
Supplies & Essentials
We’ll provide all the food and supplies your foster dog needs! If you’d like to help by covering these yourself, we truly appreciate your support.
Health & Medical Care
Your foster dog’s health comes first. We cover all medical expenses — just contact us immediately if any health issues or concerns arise, and we’ll arrange the necessary veterinary care.
Communication is Key
Keep us updated! If you notice any changes in behavior, health, or other concerns, please reach out right away so we can support both you and the dog.
Adjustment Period — The 3-3-3 Rule
Give your foster dog time to settle and adjust:
- 3 Days — to decompress in their new space
- 3 Weeks — to start showing their true personality
- 3 Months — to fully feel at home
Safety, Exercise & Changes
- Walk your foster dog twice daily for exercise and mental stimulation.
- Always use the provided martingale collar, harness, and two leashes for safety.
- Never hand the dog over to anyone without checking with us first.
- If you need to travel or if your circumstances change, we’ll always be ready to take the dog back.
